Welcome to Asheville Crafters, a safe place for you to explore your creative side and join with other members of our community. We love to share ideas, promote local art and hand-made crafts, commune together as friends and inspire each other as creative spirits.
Do you know how valuable you are? By living here, working here and shopping here, you are a vital part of the Asheville Community. By virtue of your role as a consumer, a neighbor, an employee, an employer, you have a unique knowledge of our city. How you use your voice, and where you spend your time and money forges the direction in Asheville. For example, where you purchase your pet food will assist either a local family or a large corporation.
We’d like to hear your opinion about how we can create a strong group of core members to help make a positive ripple in our community. We believe we are creators, and that to make something with one’s own hands is both empowering and uplifting. We hope to be able to offer these gifts to people in our community.
Our goals:
To attain community growth and unity through individually empowering experiences associated with hand-made crafts. We can achieve this by creating, learning and sharing with the members of our community.
- We create a community of people in Asheville and Buncombe County, who are interested in the making, marketing and/or sales of hand-made crafts.
- We learn together various crafting techniques and ideas through classes. We learn how to sell crafts in Asheville by promotion on the internet as well as local vender support. We learn the relationships we have between citizens, tourists and commerce.
- We share our knowledge of our experiences and expertise. We gather together for networking opportunities and to expand the quality of the relationships in our community.
